Heun Kee Claypot


In operation since 1986 in a shop near the Pudu wet market, this will be Heun Kee Claypot’s 2nd outlet in Malaysia. Currently serving between 200-300 pots of claypot chicken rice a day, their distinctive taste and tender flavourful chicken is made possible through a unique cooking method which they named the “two-way heat system”. Not only is the claypot heated from the base using charcoal, but hot coals are placed on top of a metal lid, that is then used to cover the claypot during cooking. This double heat system ensures that the flavours and juices of the chicken are further sealed in, resulting in a more tasty and fragrant dish.
